  Never watch a Vietnam movie on a bad day. They are all supremely dark pictures of history that really feel like they are genuinely portraying the horrors of Vietnam, and Platoon is no different. Watch Charlie Sheen in a non goofy movie threw me for a loop but he does a great job. I don’t have a lot more to say about this one except for that you have to watch. Who is gonna turn down young willem dafoe?

  When I hear the words “epic romance drama” and see a runtime of close to three hours, my eyes tend to glaze over and my brains begin leaking out of my ears as I prepare myself for the suffering to come, but shockingly, I really, really enjoyed this movie.   This movie definitively deserves four stars from me, but I have opted to dock one star due to historical inaccuracy (more on that towards the end).

  This movie is truly, truly incredible the very first opening scenes are expert at enrapturing you into the characters and the acting. It’s entirely absorbing and immersive at many times, and there is some truly wonderful acting on display here.

  Mad Max: Fury Road 2015

  Hyper-ballistic adrenaline and cocaine-fueled masterpiece packed full of some of the best stunt driving and pyro-technics I've ever seen in my damn life. Never fails to impress. There is enormous creativity and surprising depth to the world-building and characters here, all of which is more compelling than anything in the stale prequel this movie birthed. Pacing is scalpel-sharp, set pieces are grandiose, and it just keeps on driving. Why they didn't just make a sequel with more MAX is beyond me.
