Two Days, One Night 2014
Somewhere between responsibility and compassion, this film sheds light on the overlooked parts of our society. No one can be blamed for anything. No one is at fault. Everyone just has their own circumstances, and tries their best. Cause and effect don’t fit together neatly like a math equation. In between, simple but complicated situations arise, and this film observes them from above, quietly but powerfully.
Sandra deals with a lot of forcement, something she chose to impose on herself. Even though she vaguely knows it’s all pointless. Even though she understands the problem can’t be solved that way, she had no choice but to try.
