Visually striking sci-fi, art-house, adventure, comedy, romance. It was wonderful to see a summer blockbuster in which the director is given a lot of space to be creative and to stamp their unique style on the film. The story is simplistic and all over the place but moves along at a enjoyable pace. Great performances by the central cast who all look like they're having a fun (particularly Chris Tucker and his flunkies). The film falls down as it has…
Ticked all the boxes and was enjoyable; best Alien film since Aliens (not a high bar). Would have benefitted from taking a few risks with the lore but after Prometheus and Covenant understanable that the writers played it safe. Excellent visuals. Characters were forgettable with the exception of Rain and Andy.
