there’s something great about a very classic dramatic plot in a cool time/setting. amazing cinematography & cool fantasy sequences. loved willem dafoe & bjork’s bits haha. no complaints from me 5 popcorns

cool social history documentary of postwar Ireland - there’s a lot of v interesting interviews in this but also lots of beautiful footage of 1967 Ireland. music is great too. the social commentary is very affectionate but also very cutting at times, and doesnt shy away from talking about how repressive the republic was socially at this time. would recommend for a post-St Patrick’s day comedown lol

if u watch on Mubi they have a behind the scenes history of the film which is arguably as interesting as the content of the film
