Brief Encounter 1945
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I encountered this movie when I was exploring musical pieces by Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff, who is arguably my favourite classical composer.
Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 was beautifully woven into the movie. For me, the concerto instills many feelings of longing, passion, forbidden desire, and the resolution to move forward to the future, which were all central to the plot of this short film (or, dare I say, this brief encounter).
