I loved the movie, tho the first half more than the second, while it’s extremely long it didn’t feel like it…
The movie managed to bring more already elaborated topics together with some nuances that I feel have been mostly overshadowed in films dealing with trauma, exploitation, artistic self realization, capitalism…
while being super long and elaborate on complex themes it manages to be also highly convincing in artistic expression.
A must see for everybody!

Uff, I mean I defo had Barbie’s as a kid lol but it didn’t take me down to memory lane. A lot of issues in the movie (obv expected them)…
What I liked? The beginning was nice, the architectonical recreation of the plastic worlds, the juxtaposition to the office boxes in the real world, the costume design, the colors.
What I didn’t like? Content-wise the most. All the ads in the movie. And the entire events around the movie. Like the peeps in their pink leotards takings selfies. The hype. Is this 21st century?
