Your typical blockbuster disaster movie of the summer. The vfx are great and the tornadoes feel like a real threat. Don’t expect anything revolutionary from the story beats, however. Glenn Powell is setting himself up to be the Gen Z Matthew McConaughey.

Blink Twice 2024
Beautifully shot film with interesting themes surrounding forgiveness, celebrity, and power dynamics. A lot happens to these characters but they really only bother to actually develop maybe 3 out of the 10-12 people in the group so you never really build any real attachment to them. Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum are awesome in this as well
