Love the thought that Herzog must’ve been quite a lot like Fitz to make the film.
The dubbing of the dialogue for the first 20 minutes is questionable, but that soon becomes an afterthought as we’re swept away by the unique charisma of Fitzcarraldo. What set of teeth on that lad by the way.
I’m not really sure if my words can do it justice. A true masterpiece, necessary viewing for any fan of cinema.
