Closet Monster 2015
Couldn't tell you what I just watched. But it was a good movie... I think. The writer/director is also behind the upcoming Queer as Folk reboot and I'm def more intrigued now. Also, Locke and Key is wasting Connor Jessup and he should be in more stuff.

West Side Story 1961
From lavish productions to impressive cinematography. I was in awe and shock at the level of craftsmanship, especially considering the year it was made. Stephen Sondheim delivers memorable music and lyrics, bolstered by the excellent cast. The movie musical is imbued with social commentary that resonates even today. The elephant in the room though is the actual lack of Hispanic talent and the brownface and this has thankfully been rectified in Steven Spielberg's remake.

Squid Game 2021
This show excels on every level, from writing to cinematography to set design to acting. The characters are all relatable, incredibly diverse and varied in terms of personalities and fully fleshed out. Cut from the same cloth as movies such Parasite, it imbues relevant social commentary within entertaining and intriguing storylines as well as character motivations.
