The Holdovers 2023
While the film has many similarities to Dead Poet’s Society and Good Will Hunting, it doesn’t feel derivative to either. It feels like an evolution. As if Robin Williams from Dead Poet’s had a baby with Robin Williams from Good Will Hunting and that baby grew up to be Paul Giamatti in the Holdovers. A tender display of family through the absence of it.
