The Deer Hunter 1978
No wonder this won an Oscar. My favorite parts about this one were probably the long shots and all of the acting performances. Young Christopher Walken was a standout for me. I was simply not familiar enough with his game. I don't know what else to say, just go watch it!

I really enjoyed this one on a meta level. Just understanding that it's the third Transformers movie and understanding the absolutely wild events the character of Sam Witwicky went through to get to this point increased my enjoyment substantially. Aliens 1986
The best thing I can say about this movie is that it's iconic. The xenomorphs, the quotes, the acting - all fantastic. All of that said, I do think I'm more of an Alien person than an Aliens person, but that's really just personal preference. I prefer the set design and editing of Alien, but I do love the world-building in this sequel and Ripley as a character here. All of that said, still iconic and still a great watch.
