Wicked 2024
The story begins caricaturesquely boring but picks up steam in the third act and ends with a banger. Entertaining performances by all the cast. All the musical numbers were top notch from the coreography to the singing. Can't praise enough the voices of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. Precise and colourful production design, opaqued by shoddy lighting in some shots. Didn't think I would like this movie but here we are.

Couldn't really engage considering the conflict by the end centers around "people at this specific event are gonna get mad at you because you added new instruments to your songs".
Timothee's good, but this performance doesn't really hold any weight against his previous films.

At first it was corny and a little bit cringe at times (the toes scene more than a little), but by the second half it blew me away. The restaurant fight is amazing. Really fun, liked it a lot.
