The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie 2024

Never much of a Looney Tunes fan in general, so I had no expectations going into this, but this movie absolutely blew me away. One of the best animated movies I’ve ever seen.
Phenomenally written movie with fantastic gags and humorous jokes that are executed perfectly. Very meta humor with various 4th wall breaks, and there’s lots of sneakily written “adult humor” jokes that are just so well done. Laughed out loud…

Well acted and well written spy thriller whodunit that is VERY much focused on dialogue.
The performances in this movie were absolutely spectacular, with some low key humor written in that was pulled off very well.
The whodunnit aspect was solid, including an obligatory ending scene that reveals everything that was done by the suspects in a classic expository manner.

Fookin wanker monkey gets wanked backstage
Usually not the biggest fan of musicals and biopics, but this one was pretty damn entertaining.
They didn’t shy away from showing the low points of Robbie Williams which I will give them mad props for.
Rock DJ is one of the greatest musical numbers I’ve seen onscreen in a while. Absolutely fantastic scene that I was super into, despite me never knowing any of Robbie’s music.
Unfortunately nothing else in the movie came close to that but it was still a great show overall.

Animated adaptation of the original Watchmen graphic novel, part 1 of 2. A lot more faithful to the graphic novel than the Zack Snyder movie.
It’s nothing new, but man I still love this story and world overall. It’s such a great whodunit plot with fantastic characters and a great setting.
The animation itself isn’t anything special and I personally prefer live action, but it’s not that big of a deal overall.
