A memorizing South African short about a fractured family reconciling the impact of the poaching industry. An inspiring performance from Liyabona Mroqoza delivers the heart of this film that it’s impossible not to be enveloped against a trqde founded on pure excess and evil. Thandi The Rhino is my hero

  • A Lien

    A Lien

    ★★

It’s adequately shot especially with the roming cam, and has good performances but is incredibly heavy handing and manipulative in it’s messaging that in completely alienates the viewer.  This feels better served as a 2028 political ad from the Democratic Party than a nuanced critique of a relevant crisis in the United States. Sadly this pandering will likely work on Academy voters

I’ll be honest, this one didn’t make an impact upon me until learning about the historical events that it was based upon. Alas, great performances notwithstanding it could have explored the true atrocities with more depth that unraveled that infamous day. Subtly is the point but still, I felt more depth could be shown

I honestly think this one goes toe to toe with the original. Ron Burgundy is one of Will Ferrell's best characters and is given full reign to go crazy with him in this sequel

The plot is less structured and relevant with a incredibly high amount of jokes (that don't always hit) in each scene but with the comedic talents of this cast you can't complain. Good memories seeing this one in the Crowfoot Cineplex way back when
