Phenomenal story. Same complaints with his directing as always shots on earth r bland and I think that’s why the first act kinda drags for me. Shots in space look rlly good but again I think 2001 clears this in terms of visuals. I think this will be better as a rewatch obviously and the first third will be cool to see now after you know. Also will complain about the lack of buildup for matt Damon’s character, making his twist kind of bland. Great use of science fiction elements with a great MM performance

Never can anyone tell me that Nolan is their favorite director. This thing from a concept and cast standpoint rocks and the performances are well done with a confusing plot that carries all the way through. Yet I find it so underwhelming how boring this thing is shot when we are in subconscious dream layers. I think Nolan is a genius in the writing and story aspect of his films, but they are just shot in such an uninteresting manner. Still this thing rocks and I liked it a lot more than I expected to.
