  a worthwhile film about journalism and the aestheticization of violence. as i've come to expect from A24 i do think they try to portray it as grander or more profound than the film actually is, but it was still a pretty engaging watch throughout

  a definite step up from the first movie. the emotion and tension were more palpable and the scenes felt less dull. i have a few gripes regarding pacing and tropey-ness but these weren't overbearing; overall i felt very satisfied with this movie and it definitely seemed like the themes and direction of dune were more resonant after this watch
