  the gospel choir singing down followed immediately by the chaotic supercut of julien and chris in the kitchen...i was living

  for real, though, such an entrancing film filled with sincerity and inventiveness. i found the brief scene of pearl experiencing what seemed like boundless joy on the ice rink to be really emotionally overwhelming

  i suppose i'm scoring this based purely on craftsmanship because willingly watching a rapist terrorize londoners with nihilistic philosophies and just generally be an asshole for over 2 hours felt like self-punishment

  sophie, louise, and sandra (as brief as her appearance is) really anchor the film, without them it would just be a neckbeard's wet dream (probably still is)

  putting this on literally minutes after waking up was definitely a choice, feel like i need to watch something cheery now
