The Last Samurai 2003
As tempted as I am to give this a better review because of epic combat, a great score, and a couple great performances (not Tom Cruise’s), I hated this movie so much. The ending made me laugh.
An epic movie if you don’t think about it, but a well-produced trash-of-a-screenplay if you do.
“Shogun” is definitely a superior “white man learns the way of the samurai” story.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2022
I watched maybe the first 45 minutes and nothing had shown me this movie deserved to be finished. There wasn't anything glaringly awful about it, as much as there simply was nothing extraordinary about it. Not a single camera angle, piece of dialogue, or costume. And why would I fill my life with anything that isn't extraordinary, if there's so many things that are?
To this movie's credit, it's probably one of the best Phase 4 Marvel movies (but that's more of an insult to the rest than it is a compliment to this).
