The Wachowskis softly break the 180 degree rule twice (that I noticed). The first time is when Trinity and Neo meet for the first time in the club. The second time is when Trinity is saves Neo with true love’s first kiss. I think the breaks are a clever way to represent how they’re inextricably tied to one another, something that’s confirmed when Trinity says the Oracle told her she’d fall in love with The One.
