  The stupid version of "The Wild Bunch". The gruesome gun fights looked sick but the runtime only went past 30 minutes because everyone in this movie is an idiot.

  Squibs >>>>>> cgi blood but that is the main thing that is good about this movie. Has maybe 1 minute of credibility in the whole run time.

  This the kind of movie I imagine actors really enjoying making, lots of character moments. No plot to speak of as typical of this time. Lots of Gene Hackman which is great.

  I'm aware its a similar plot to Casablanca, but its been a few years. I took it as an unromantic James Bond. Instead of the showing the hero as a spy super hero, he's just a cynical agent of empire. Its not anywhere near as good as "Burn" or even "The Taylor of Panama", but covers similar themes. Its just too silly and the ending does forgive this type of character where he really shouldn't be. The other 2 movies much better tackle this material.
