Finally saw Jenna’s favorite movie. I liked it more than I thought I would, and the cast is insanely star studded. But the main guy fought for the confederates. I know he was a deserter who had no real allegiance to the cause, but he was still in the confederate army?? For a civil war movie it really didn't spend much time addressing the elephant in the room. It was all about the impact the war had on white southerners…

As a space major, I enjoyed the sciencey space parts of it. Did a good job of exploring the imaginative possibilities of other planets while still being realistic. But as a person, I couldn't get behind most of the decisions made by the characters in this movie (especially matthew mcconaughy, this is one of the few movies i have ever seen where the supposedly “heroic parent” figure decides to leave their child voluntarily, and he does it on a hail…

Just terrible. The plot was a mess, totally lame too, the villain was just a cookie cutter bad guy like the days if the early marvel films. I had no interest in his story or motivation. The film relied too heavily on humor at the expense of the plot, which worked in Ragnarok, but didnt work in this film because the jokes just were not funny. This felt like a movie for little kids. Disappointed in Taika tbh. Marvel movies have gone off the rails.
