I was really excited to watch this film. But I thought it fell completely flat. Honestly I don’t even know what the point of the movie was and I’ve thought about it quite a bit. The best I can say is I really thought Zoe Saldana did a great job. And I always like Selena Gomez in everything she does. Maybe if someone can explain the point and how it was communicated and developed I’ll change my mind. As of now a complete disappointment.

The Substance 2024
Disclaimer. I’ve never liked horror movies and never will. So this was a hard watch for me. But I just think the movie is overrated. Both the performances and the script. Demi Moore was good but I did not think the character was a huge stretch. And much of the movie she was dormant or CGI enhanced. But I think the overall point of the movie was an important one that should be talked about more openly, which is why I gave it 2.5 stars.

Cannot believe I had not seen this until now. Surprisingly enjoyable. Story was fun and the dialogue stands the test of time. I particularly enjoyed the ending. Seemed true to the characters. And we got to watch it with Madison which made it special. Now on to Citizen Kane. Btw. Thought Claude Rains was fantastic.

I really enjoyed this movie. Honestly I did not know that much about Bob Dylan before the movie. From what I can tell it seemed like an honest portrayal of his brilliance as a song writer and musician while not overlooking his flaws. T Chalamert was just amazing. Deserves the Oscar nomination. Just a talented actor. Edward Norton was also amazing as always. Highly recommend.
