i was fairly skeptical of this movie for the first 20-30 minutes or so, but as it went on and i adjusted to its tone, i was gradually won over. there are some really funny moments and some clunkers. maybe it’s because the last movie i watched was emilia perez, but i enjoyed it a bit more than i expected. also the chris cuomo cameo really got me. i was like holy shit thats the guy from the adam friedland show interview

really bad…. the negative hype is real

This film contains plenty of gestures towards the high brow but really seems like the whole thing is just a vehicle for its own meandering (yet often compelling) plot, so it ends up playing more like prestige television than "cinema". I still liked plenty about it though. It looked great, Guy pearce killed it and I thought the score was good despite being somewhat overbearing. one thumbs up

watched this on a plane. i’m actually still on the plane currently. Loved the austerity of jef’s apartment. At one point i thought alain delon looked like matt gaetz if he would give up all that cosmetic surgery and just embrace his natural beauty.
