Painfully vapid. Over an hour of weird posturing about arbitrary violence because there isn't a single concrete take for the viewer or the characters to bounce off apart from "war is bad and political division is a concept that exists".
The closest it comes to detailing anything at all is when it mentions an "antifa massacre", but even then is too scared to elaborate on what that means, leaving it open to whatever comfortable interpretation you choose to adopt. It's centrist fetish material.

Dune: Part Two 2024
I'm not sure that Dune is entirely successful in being a criticism of the foreign saviour trope given the weight of Paul as a character. Although he is clearly presented as a danger to the Freman by the end of the film, his continual narrative importance as the protagonist undermines this idea somewhat.
