Watched this on a plane. One of fav things to do is watch something inappropriate on a plane. It makes me squirm to have to close a laptop or move a phone. In this instance the sexual violence was a fast forward moment for me in public.

The trailer told me this movie “out Finchers Fincher” and I get that. It may have spent too much time setting us up for a rapid series of events in the third act. Could have used more exposition on the leads interactions with true crime and its devotees. It was brutal to watch her unfold but I may have needed a slightly more solid foundation to build upon. The death of patriarch Charles Deetz in the mouth of a shark elegantly handles what to do with pervert character actor Jeff Jones’ role in this mess. There are more storylines in this movie than there are Cure posters in Tim Burton’s rumpus room. With these characters and actors they should have made a movie I loved. Instead they made a movie seemingly written by 92 people that looks like a Spirit Halloween exploded.
Rewatch. Still enjoyed it even tho the audio is a little difficult in parts. Oh, the folly of youth. Some people die, some churches burn.
