I thank God every day, for the most part, that I didn’t grow up with social media. There is a definite change in the generational personalities from boomer to z. We were bullied but it stayed in our neighborhoods. Today, the world can rebel on you because of an emoji. No child can hold off the addiction and refrain from participating in the onslaught of adolescent war.

Where are the munchkins? I mean, c’mon. Why’d they wake that up? But seriously, a good film that keeps some of the stage magic. Goosebumps at the end. It sets up the second film a lot better than I imagined. I’m rooting against Glenda…always thought something was wrong, too good…goody two shoes. Don’t drink, don’t smoke, what do you do? It was worth the length. But same length as a trip to the theater.
Why wasn’t this nominated for best picture? Simple. It’s a Boomer movie. And basically a sausage fest, full of misogyny, latent racism, and nationalism. It’s as real as it gets for the time it was shot. No excuses. Laid bare. This isn’t the Morning Show.
For those of us who watched this live broadcast, remember it, and went into the television industry, this film is a home run. There are so many things we take for granted…
