hmmm. mid unfortunately. i have heard about this movie every so often for the past fifteen years so i thought Surely. but no. it is fundamentally another flick to add to the manic pixie dream girl collection a la eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.
opens straightaway with a weird framing of like omnipresent misogyny coloring this girl's whole life and every experience she's ever had as like, a good thing she should be grateful for/not suffocated by. moves promptly…
