is a perfect blend of dark humor, tension, and social criticism. Spike Lee manages to tell an incredible yet true story in a way that makes you laugh, but also feel the weight of history and its current relevance.
John David Washington and Adam Driver have incredible chemistry, and the way the film plays with the irony of a Black police officer infiltrating the Ku Klux Klan is brilliant. The ending hits you hard, reminding you that, although the story happened decades ago, racism is more alive than we'd like to admit. It's not just a good film, it's a necessary one.
