I really like the movie, the storytelling, the acting, and the set design. I just can’t get over how much of a product of its time this movie is. The further we get away from the historical context of 1950s LA Chinatown, or even 1970s LA Chinatown, really does not aid this movie in its aging.
It sure would help if they showed Chinatown at any point in the movie besides the end. And I get it it’s supposed to…
