  This movie has a serious indentity issue. It worked best when it embraced the more goofy aspects of the setting, whilst bouncing off the predictable yet shocking moments. However, I couldn't help but feel like the cultish, and odd behaviour of the staff, in tandem with unease created by a remote setting felt far too reminiscent of Ari Asters works Hereditary, and midsommar. Overall, I enjoyed the movie thoroughly, and was easily drawn into the world by some really great performances by Anya Taylor Joy, Ralph Fiennes, and Hong Chau in particular.
