I really did enjoy this film. Margot Robbie’s performance was outstanding. You either are a star or you’re not. It proved the point of how simply believing in your dreams and owning your identity already gets you 50% there. I love the back and forth banters between Nellie and Manny. Barbie 2023
The film starts off with an interesting concept. It then dives into the fish out of water approach and it’s all fun to watch. I also do like the music as well as the dance sequences. But I do think that it feels a little too mushy and especially the ending that made me feel like I was finishing an episode of Dora the explorer. There were moments where the dynamic between Barbie and Ken just seems too cringe to digest.
