It Ends with Us 2024
Hasan Minaj and Jenny Slate were the best part. They were funny and bright and brilliant. Also, Brandon Sklenar needed more screen time.

Tbh the plot didn't hit as hard as it could’ve (largely I imagine bc it’s in 2 parts) but I didn’t care because the costumes, the choreography, the music, the set design, the humor, the acting, the diversity, and the chemistry all REALLY, REALLY did. Loved this as much as I did when I saw it on stage. Maybe more actually bc of Jonathan Bailey.

The Idea of You is a million times better than this so if you want a movie where a hot male celebrity dates the mom instead of the daughter… pick that one.
Joey King carries this movie. And Kathy Bates is a delightful supportive grandma / mom figure. Liza Koshy was a great friend character. This movie had a lot of fun moments.
But woof. I wish Zac Efron and Nicole Kidman didn’t look like they had so much work…
