  The Brutalist 2024

  This is an actors film as Adrian Brody puts on a superb performance filled with so many different layers of pain and struggle.

  Also as a whole, the film is a bit too long, and certain plot points weren't needed to help carry the story. But they still worked.

  Also beautifully shot and in 35mm film, and not not see that plot point/ twist coming.

  Overall you watch because of the nominations but you stay for the performance.

  Best way to watch this film is by not knowing anything about it prior.

  Creat cast with great chemistry. Wish it was a little more campy and a bit tighter (the ending is really drawn out). But over all a fun watch.

  Cool alternative Terminator origin story.

  Was happy to recieve the privilege of a preview screening thanks to Letterboxd and Madman and to get to sit next to the family of one of the animators.

  I had high hopes for this film as thier prior feature Mary and Max was absolutely brilliant, with wonderful Storytelling mixed with with a brilliant and unique style of claymation/ stop motion. This film continues in the same style with great adult humor and an awkward story of loneliness and growth.…

  What a facking film! I laughed, cried, learnt, and loved every moment of this film.

  I want more. I wish this was a series, It was that good. Fighting for Irish rights and identity through rap... plus drugs.... this film!!!
