Poor Things 2023
Blatant misogyny masked as a praiseworthy feminist fable. I’m genuinely concerned at the amount of people who are falling into the vat of grotesque plot goo.

28 Days Later 2002
Just watched what is a film so incredibly ahead of its time. The soundtrack to this film is second to none, matched with an impeccable performance (as standard) from a young Cillian Murphy, makes this horror a cult classic for a reason. Other cameos by Brendan Gleeson and Christopher Ecclestone only improves the acting performances. The tension that is carried throughout is awe-inspiring. I also like the whole portrayal of the “zombies” in this film, not so much the walking dead as just those inflicted with rage.
