  Another winner from Bong Joon Ho, who continues to be one of the most unique and interesting directors working today. Mickey 17 elevates its cool premise with laugh out loud comedy and incredible performances from Robert Pattinson and Steven Yeun. Very watchable film.

  Captain America: Brave New World 2025

  Not as bad of a film as everyone’s making it out to be, but like much of phase four, it shows Marvel’s capable of something pedestrian. A convoluted plot obscures some interesting MCU reveals that hint at the future, and the action sequences seem a step below previous standards. Still, not an unenjoyable flick.

  I wanted to love this movie, but I found it a bit underwhelming. The cast is strong and turns in great performances, but there isn't much in the script that adds to the mystique or legacy of Michael Jordan or how the deal he made with Nike changed the business of sports. Even as a casual basketball fan, I didn't learn anything I didn't already know about the deal itself or the context within which it sits. I was expecting…
