TW: murder, violence, physical assault
A rather annoying movie. Gratuitous violence that Tarantino has a history of defending across his filmography without a real point. Yeah, you want to s*alp Nazis and stuff like that but it doesn't outweigh the violent manner with which the women in this movie get murdered at the hands of said Nazis. It has been said that this movie just takes creative liberties and wish fulfillment into the idea of killing Hilter in a movie…

Every shot a painting, lighted to perfection. The cinematography is breathtaking, with very intentional shots of cars, trains, and transportation to demonstrate how traveling 'away' is at the core of this story. A life full of love, as Nora has the fortune of having, is not because of one 'lover' per se, but the love that she has felt and had to leave behind. It's about being met halfway when in love, and how love can find you during different points of your life. It's painful, and it helped me imagine the possibility of love as spiritually carrying on through generations.
