Clint Eastwood makes and stars in great films, he has an insight that is usually honed into something wonderful, but not this time. It isn’t the worst film you’ve ever seen, but Eastwoods presence is super awkward for this movie. It’s almost cringey at parts and the dialogue is ultimately unbelievable. Is it entertaining… sure. But man is it weird and uncomfortable

A spookier take on the classic Poirot character. Lots of twist and turns in this mystery surrounding an all star cast. There is also a certain charm that Branagh brings to the table, opening the character up to a deeper exploration

It’s hard to discuss this film without spoiling anything, other than saying, it is wild. Rest assured that every moment, as soon as you believe you’ve predicted what happens next, you are likely wrong. Every new scene, every character interaction and dynamic are such pleasant surprises, that you are constantly enthralled. It’s awkward and unsettling, moody and brilliantly tense. Outstanding performances by the leads and how Ralph Fiennes is able to pull off the emotion in this character is beyond me. Great success in an incredible experience

Knowing that this film was made by a 19 year old makes it actually quite impressive, in spite of the short comings throughout. The menace and mystery never fully comes together or explained properly, but it is still an enjoyable watch.
