  The film clearly has something to say, either I'm too dumb to get it or it's not smart enough to convey it's point. Or maybe the film maker was trying to ask the question, "Can you enjoy a movie when every character is insufferable?"

  I think the goal here was to hit as many modern sensibilities as they could, disability, diversity, homosexuality, interracial couples, daddy issues, toxic masculinity, environmentalism, feminism, xenophobia, and I imagine the world they were living in was meant to be some sort of socialist utopia. I really don't mind people putting a message in their movies but in this case the story suffers from it. The writers focused so much on their activism, they forgot to write a good story.…
