  My favorite part of this film is when Lemmon and Matthau's characters meet for the first time, just outside of a public restroom Lemmon has vomited in. He is in full neurotic everyman mode and on the verge of telling this stranger his entire life story.

  And then it cuts back to Matthau, wearing the expression of a man who has died a thousand deaths in twenty seconds. It's fantastic.

  "Come on, not Hildy. I thought he was married to Walter Burns."

  Personally, I prefer the bromance in this compared to the romance in the original. Also, if someone reviewed Walter Matthaus 50+ year career and did a supercut of every time he's on a telephone, how long would it be?
