I was really enjoying the first half of the movie, and the initial premise. I was fully invested. Then we get to the other half of the movie where “The Butcher” is changing out of full fledged swat equipment in less than thirty seconds like that damn “Hitman” video game. Seriously, the latter half was so ridiculous with all the twists- it felt like I was watching a never ending run-on gag from an episode of Family Guy.
I think everyone can collectively agree the only good thing from “Trap” was Josh Hartnett.

This is like my 5th rewatch, and I still can’t get over this movie. Villeneuve is a genius, and visionary. Dennis took a whole different approach to Dune with this storyline, and kinda surprised me on my first watch. My only real gripe with his approach, is I just really wish we got to see a lot more of Alia (not so much as a fetus) in this movie. That being said, I’ll always love Lynch’s dune, but these movies…

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I’m a fiend for 90s film/tv, so this is probably a really biased review. The story is like a creepypasta stretched into a movie. Cinematography is great- Loved the Dawson’s Creek vibes that they had with some of the camera shots. The soundtrack is good - like really good. Good enough to turn a usually cheesy “goosebumps-like” horror scene into a moment in the movie that made me feel pretty uneasy. overall, good watch!
