Relative 2022
I watched this film today with my mom and we both really enjoyed it, as Chicagoans and as family. It’s a really endearing slice of life story and it just feels so real and authentic. I thought everything from the story to the cinematography to the acting was beautiful, 100 percent worth the watch and definitely one of my favorite films of the year thus far.
Congratulations on the premiere, Professor Smith!

Roy's World: Barry Gifford's Chicago 2020
I watched this at the Wilmette Theater a few weeks back. I had heard of Barry Gifford but really didn’t know much about him or his work. I’m also not usually one for documentaries, especially documentaries on people I don’t know of, but Roy’s World was a wonderful watch. Rob Christopher perfectly captures what Chicago was and is like. I saw the film with my mom who grew up in Rogers Park, and the character of Roy and his stories really resonated with her. I would absolutely love to watch this film again.
