Novocaine 2025
I really love the premise of this. Honestly, Jack Quaid has become my favorite nepo actor of this generation. My one but (well there were many), the pacing dragged a bit, and I found myself wishing it would pick up speed. The plot twist was also pretty predictable, which took away some of the impact. Still, overall, fun if you want to see Jack Quaid getting beat up like he was some sort of stretch man.

Mickey 17 2025
Bong Joon-ho does it again—an incredible take on the separation of church and state, class warfare, environmental issues, identity, and colonialism. Robert Pattinson absolutely delivers as Mickey, bringing so much to the role. My only real complaint is that there’s a bit too much exposition, which messes with the pacing a little, but other than that, it’s a fantastic movie!

Los Frikis 2024
Los Frikis is a beautiful film told through the eyes of Gustavo, a young Cuban boy who looks up to his anarchist punk brother, Paco. Nelson and Schwartz already proved they could tell stories outside their own community with The Peanut Butter Falcon, but here, they take their craft to another level. With standout performances from Adria Arjona and Eros de la Puente, it’s Hector Medina who truly shines. He’s the heart of this story about resilience, chosen family, and the sacrifices people make for even a glimpse of a better future—no matter the grief that may come with it.

Sing Sing 2023
I didn’t expect to love this movie, especially since I’ve read hundreds of scripts set in prison, but Sing Sing hit different. I was completely drawn into the story and its theme of remembering who we truly are and the lengths we go to for a sense of identity and humanity. Colman Domingo is sure to be the actor everyone’s talking about, but personally, I was blown away by Clarence Maclin’s performance. Just wow.
