Better than I expected, but perhaps that's because I kept seeing "queers deserve better than Harry Styles as a cop" headlines. Emma Corrin and Rupert Everett were fantastic.
Lifetime Christmas movie, but make it a car commercial, double-life, enemies-to-lovers romcom. Scratches a very specific itch.
Did a great job keeping things dynamic, when it could've easily felt like a series of monologues. Knockout performances, especially from Kingsley Ben-Adir, but each of the core four brought something essential and transformative to their role. Most importantly, the conversations were substantive and worthwhile. Gave the sense of them as real and impressive but flawed people. The choices about which parts of history to include or contract were shrewd, especially at the end. Regina King knocked this out of the park.
