from all the reviews on here one would think this movie is light-hearted or superficially entertaining or i don’t know “funny”
it’s kind of frustrating to see how everything is meme-ified as if this movie doesn’t handle some very hard and taboo themes within the catholic faith and the church. like this is such a heavy film, so incredibly thoughtful and ambiguous and tough to watch.
and it feels like an escape in all of our behalf as viewers to find something to trivialize in the movie. the state of the general viewership has regressed to a despicable level
