Being John Malkovich 1999
it's like a runaway train of ideas. its scope and stakes and consequences ballooned outwards so fast. it would be tempting for some other writers to expound on the philosophical and personal identity aspects for twice the runtime, but this movie's focused dedication to its pessimistic storyline was a huge plus for establishing its identity, keeping the audience engaged, and more importantly gives it a kind of comedically absurdist edge or some shitt like that
