Great topic, even greater directing.
Conclave was a very interesting watch, even if the pace of the movie can feel a little slow at times, the directing, acting, score, and sound effects/foley makes it very enjoyable to slow it down.
Adding the fact that all the plotting and scheeming leads us to theorise some stuff, it makes the whole movie quite coherent.

I did come in the theatre with a bit of expectations, considering the 2000 movie really is something to me, but boy oh boy was I disappointed.
Right from the start, I kinda felt it, the hands in grain in the beginning was a nice reference to the first one, but also kind of a warning, that it would be this movie's only tool to bring us some good entertainment, basically fan service.

Great watch. I'd say a bit slow to really get the right setting. I highly enjoyed the cinematography, I really loved the close-ups on the actors' faces, especially early in the film. The cast is great, and I feel like they totally nailed what the director was going for.
I also found myself laughing at times which was refreshing.
Overall a great thriller, the "twist" comes in a bit late and it feels like the second part of the movie is kind of rushed.
Taken is a great and simple movie, very easy to write in my opinion but still, the watch isn't painful, its well directed and seeing liam nesson being an absolute badass is satisfying. However, and this is probably only true for me but, I'm having a hard time with human scaled movies that takes death and violence so lightly. It was my second watch and I did not remember such stupid deaths, and insane violence, although the surprise was actually a great feeling during the rewatch.
