  Was not expecting them to break the fourth wall at the end. I'm sure they did it so that they could play up the Scorsese of it all (this is Apple after all, they have something prove in Hollywood), and maybe to trim a few minutes from the run-time (dialogue narration is faster than putting titles up one at a time). But, honestly, once a movie is 3 hours 26 minutes long I don't think you're doing anyone a disservice by making it just a few minutes longer to get those titles in.

  Watched the 3-hour extended cut.

  This movie is so rich with theme! The futility of war? check. The value of friendship? check. Revenge? check. It's actually kind of a lot to stuff into one picture. Still though, Leone and co. pull it off.

  RIP Ennio Morricone. Your work's brilliance will shine forever.

  Welp, this was bad. Lots of drugsploitation and neoliberal austerity bullshit. Did you know poor people just need some positive reinforcement from a guardian figure to make their way to the upwardly-mobile class? There's literally a montage in this that epitomizes the classist notion of "pulling yourself up by your bootstraps" lol like how on-the-nose can you get?
