  'Conclave' is a beautifully shot and well acted liberal fantasy about a functional meritocracy. Honestly the parallels to American politics are the dullest part of this movie, the more interesting part being the constant strain between tradition and modernity specific to the Catholic Church.

  Extremely depressing. A movie that is so obsessed with giving fans everything they want that it sacrifices any attempt at originality. It feels like this was solely created to satiate people who only interact with the medium of film through "ending explained" YouTube videos.

  "To do nothing is Corrupt. To be weak is corrupt."

  Idk hard to collect my thoughts on this movie because it a lot happens. The whole movie feels like it is both extremely grounded but also somehow takes place outside of anything linear or tangible (?) Some of it felt super interconnected and then some scenes felt like they were almost stand alone monologues. Anyways I wish I could find an apartment as nice as Lt. O'Conner's drug money funded 2 bedroom 2 bathroom.

  mindboggling nonsense! Y2K aesthetic! Really similar in tone and style to the gorey ultra realistic surreal murders in 'Hannibal' but with the surrealism dialed up to 11. I had to have the Wikipedia article for the Manga this is based on open for like 2/3rds of this only to find out that the manga is way more confusing and contrived. I could only find two episodes but I loved it.
