A group of faithful Mennonite women confront their brutal mistreatment at the hands of the men of their colony and realize they have incredibly diverse perspectives on their suffering, their lives, and their futures which they must reconcile to some degree before they can hope to find safety together.

Wonderfully acted and carefully written, Women Talking depicts a true discourse between women with wildly differing conclusions drawn from a shared suffering. A generation-spanning discussion of liberation within the confines of an isolated religious sect.

Beautiful camera, costume, and set work.

Hilarious, but didn't intend to be at all. Great set design and quality performances ruined by hilarious editing decisions and an absolute joke of a "twist" ending. A movie written by redditors for redditors. Maybe worth a watch if you really love the actors, otherwise, mostly just fun because of how funny the ending is.

Extremely solid sci-fi film about two space prospectors trying to escape a frontier planet before the last ship leaves. Tense and fast-paced. Phenomenal costume design. Every character has a different style of spacesuit, as though they all bought from different space corporations with incompatible parts. Solidly told from the perspective of Cee (Sophie Thatcher) coping with an overbearing, struggling, but loving father and then struggling with her life becoming entangled with that of a traumatized space bandit.
