  Freddy’s second outing is generally dismissed by fans of the franchise. It changes the formula and rules that are followed in the first and subsequent movies. Nonetheless, I still enjoy this movie.

  While I feel the first is a true horror classic, Revenge takes many of the slasher tropes and spins them on their head. It ups the creepiness factor by not only driving the protagonist mad as in the other films, it literally turns…

  Friday the 13th Part III 1982

  Jason gets his mask! For that reason alone, this movie goes down in the annals of horror cinema as a classic.

  The kill with the harpoon is one of my favorite Jason kills of all time. 

  The most polite motorcycle gang ever also makes an appearance. They always give me a laugh.

  My biggest gripe with the movie is the gimmicky 3D shots. The yo-yo scene makes me roll my eyes every time.

  A mostly fun cast and a plot that doesn’t take itself too seriously gives this movie a special place in my heart.
